Terms of Sale

Last updated: April 26, 2026

These Terms of Sale ("Terms") govern all purchases made through the Lera Treyger online store at leratreyger.com (the "Services"), operated from Volkstraat 20, 2000 Antwerpen, Belgium. By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

About us

The Services are operated by Lera Treyger, with its registered office at Volkstraat 20, 2000 Antwerpen, Belgium. For any questions related to your order, please contact us at info@leratreyger.com.

Scope

These Terms apply to every offer, order and contract concluded between Lera Treyger and any natural person acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession (the "Customer") via the Services. By placing an order, the Customer expressly accepts the applicability of these Terms. Any general or special terms of the Customer are excluded.

Products

Each piece sold through the Services is handcrafted in our Antwerp atelier. Photographs, descriptions and dimensions on the Services are provided in good faith and are intended to give an accurate representation of the product. Because every piece is hand-finished, slight variations in finish, weight, gemstone shade, pearl tone and size are inherent to the product and do not constitute a defect.

Prices and taxes

All prices are listed in euros (EUR) and include Belgian VAT at the applicable rate. Prices do not include shipping charges, which are calculated and shown at checkout based on the chosen delivery method and destination.

For deliveries outside the European Union, the Customer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or local fees that may be levied upon import. These charges are not included in our prices and are payable directly to the relevant authority or carrier on delivery.

We reserve the right to correct any pricing or product description error before the order is accepted. If a pricing error is identified after the order is placed, we will contact the Customer to either confirm the corrected price or cancel the order with a full refund.

Order acceptance

Product listings on the Services constitute an invitation to treat, not a binding offer. A binding contract is formed only when we send the Customer an order confirmation by email after successful payment.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order — for example in cases of suspected fraud, payment failure, an obvious pricing error, unavailability of the product, or breach of these Terms. In such cases any amount already paid will be refunded in full.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of order placement. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, which may include Bancontact, iDEAL, major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, and SEPA Direct Debit. Payment is processed securely by our payment service providers; we do not store full card details on our servers.

Production and delivery time

Most of our pieces are made to order. Kindly allow up to four (4) weeks from order confirmation for production before shipment. Combs and other in-stock items typically ship within 2-3 business days. Estimated delivery times are indicative and may vary depending on destination and carrier.

For full information on shipping costs, methods, and timing, please consult our Shipping Policy.

Risk and ownership

Risk of loss or damage to the products passes to the Customer at the moment the products are physically delivered to the Customer or to a third party designated by the Customer (other than the carrier we appoint). Ownership transfers upon full receipt of payment.

Returns and exchanges

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may exchange or return items that are not personalised for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 30 days from the date of shipment from our warehouse, or within 14 days for pre-owned items. The original outbound shipping cost will be deducted from the refund.

All returned or exchanged items must be returned in new, unworn condition with all original packaging, certificates, and the original sales receipt. Any signs of wear, damage, or removal of parts may result in refusal of the return or in a restocking fee.

Personalised, engraved, or made-to-order items are not eligible for return or exchange. This exclusion is permitted under Article VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, transposing EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights.

If your order arrives with visible damage, discrepancies, or is not what you ordered, please contact Lera Treyger Customer Care within 3 days of delivery at info@leratreyger.com so we can resolve the issue.

How to return or exchange an item

  • Place the original package inside a secure outer shipping carton. Do not place shipping labels or stickers directly on the branded packaging.
  • Include the invoice and specify the reason for return; for defective items, please describe the issue.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer. We are not responsible for parcels that are lost or damaged in transit.
  • Send the return parcel to the address below.

Return address:
LERA TREYGER — Returns Department

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within fourteen (14) days of our receipt and inspection of the returned goods. The 30-day (or 14-day for pre-owned) return window represents a contractual right granted by Lera Treyger and goes beyond, but does not waive, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU where applicable.

Legal conformity warranty

Pursuant to Articles 1649bis to 1649octies of the Belgian Civil Code, transposing EU Directive 2019/771 on the sale of consumer goods, the Customer benefits from a legal warranty of conformity of two (2) years from delivery. If a defect appears within this period, the Customer is entitled — at no cost — to repair or replacement, or, where such remedies are impossible or disproportionate, to a price reduction or termination of the contract.

To exercise the warranty, please contact us at info@leratreyger.com with a description of the defect, the order number, and photographs where helpful. The warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper use, accident, normal wear and tear, modification by a third party, exposure to chemicals (including perfume, cosmetics, swimming-pool or sea water), or failure to follow our care instructions.

Care and maintenance

Fine jewelry requires care to retain its beauty. We recommend storing each piece individually in a soft pouch or box, removing jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising or applying lotions and perfume, and gently polishing with a soft cloth. We are happy to advise on professional cleaning or repair on request.

Intellectual property

All content on the Services — including text, images, designs, logos, marks, layouts, and audiovisual material — is the property of Lera Treyger or its licensors and is protected by Belgian and international intellectual-property laws. No content may be reproduced, distributed, modified or used commercially without our prior written consent.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability arising under or in connection with the Services and any contract concluded under these Terms is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence or any liability that cannot be limited under Belgian law.

Force majeure

Neither party is liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation) acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, epidemic, government measures, supplier failure, transport disruption, or strike. Performance shall be suspended for the duration of the event and resumed as soon as reasonably possible.

Personal data

We process the personal data we collect in connection with your order in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The version of the Terms applicable to a given order is the version in force at the moment the order is placed. The current version is always available on this page.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any contract concluded under them are governed by Belgian law, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-laws rules and of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts of the judicial district of Antwerp have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute, without prejudice to the Customer's right to bring proceedings before the courts of the Customer's place of residence as provided by mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Online dispute resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute-resolution platform for consumers, accessible at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are however not obliged and do not currently participate in alternative dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
